Employers

Indigo Training can help any business in a number of ways. Either by direct delivery or supply of labour or by a well placed referral to a more suitable training provider. To discuss your individual business needs please contact our sales team for an appointment.

We can break down our main services into 2 categories:-

Existing Staff
Training is available for all staff, most being fully funded or part funded through government initiatives such as the Apprenticeship programme or Train to Gain.  This training is individual and flexible to both individual needs and the needs of the business.  90 % of the delivery is likely to take place on your premises and you will have regular input into the process.

Benefits:

  • More motivated
  • Capable staff leading to better staff retention
  • Increased productivity and higher profits

New Staff
To recruit and train new staff there are 2 routes.  Through the apprenticeship programme we can help you find a young person and develop them with you to become a valuable member of staff.  For the first year of an apprenticeship minimum wages does not apply giving flexibility for employers to stage wage increases based on performance.

The second route is through the Foundation Learning programme.  This is like a ‘job trial‘ programme.  Employers can have a young person on work placement for no cost (up to 2 days per week).  Hopefully with support from Indigo and the employer the young person will flourish and become an asset to the company and therefore employable (possibly to move on to the Apprenticeship programme above).  The programme is very flexible and again can be discussed via an appointment.

Benefits:

  • Employing staff and especially young staff is difficult because often they are untried stock.
  • Together with Indigo you can work with the young person to ensure that not only are they right for you but you for them, if this is not the case Indigo will support the young person onto the next opportunity.

Making a difference:

  • Giving a young person a chance, when normally you would not take the risk, is brave.
  • When it works out it is fantastic!

Benefits to Learner:

  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • High quality training specific to your occupational area
  • Improved career prospects
  • Improved Maths, English and ICT skills

Benefits to Employer:

  • Increase staff retention
  • Higher skilled staff
  • Higher quality training related to your occupational area
  • Increased productivity and profitability

Staff hope that our learners feel free to talk about any concerns or worries which may affect their progress and that they will see Indigo Training as a safe place. Our learners will be taken seriously if they seek assistance from a member of our staff team. Indigo Training will always ensure that appropriate procedures and agencies are used in order to safeguard the learners’ welfare.
