Foundation Learning - Flexible Training Courses for people aged 16-19

We are offering 6 month, 12 month and 18 months programmes, the programme you choose will depend on what qualifications you do and how much support you need to move on to your chosen pathway.

Working in Construction

On all programmes you will:

Get a good grounding in:

  • Brickwork
  • Carpentry / Joinery
  • Painting and Decorating
  • Plumbing

Go on work experience so that you develop real work skills

Develop your:

  • Personal skills
  • Employability skills
  • Maths, English and ICT skills

Take part in our Job Search programme to secure employment or an apprenticeship

We will help with your travel costs and you could also be eligible for EMA

Qualifications offered:

  • Edexcel BTEC Construction – Award, Certificate and Diploma
  • NOCN Step–UP – Construction Skills – Award, Certificate and Diploma
  • City and Guilds Employability and Personal Development – Award and Certificate
  • Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT

Skills for Business

These programmes can be linked to many different types of work, including Customer Service, Information Technology, Retail, Distribution and Logistics, Care, Hospitality, Administration, Accounts and many more. We will tailor the programme to what you want to do through work experience.
