Team Leading - Level 2

Our Team Leading programme recognises skills and abilities of team leaders and supervisors in the workplace
Available at NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship, our Team Leading programme is aimed at people in management roles across all occupations and sectors of employment.

Apprenticeship
The Apprenticeship qualification consists of the following elements:

  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT at Level 1
  • Technical Certificate in Team Leading Level 2
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • NVQ Level 2 – (see below)

Train to Gain
The Train to Gain programme consists of the following elements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 – (see below)

NVQ Level 2 Certificate
At level 2 NVQ the learner will have responsibility for the work of others, as they lead a team. It is suitable for people who are entering management, or who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, providing leadership for a team, encouraging innovation, allocating and checking work.

17 credits are required to achieve the full certificate, 10 credits are taken from mandatory units with the remaining credits selected from 11 optional units.

Funding is available in most cases.
